APPRAISALS

   As professional jewelry appraisers, we charge for our services based upon an hourly rate or a per-item fee.  We do not charge by a percentage of the appraised value. 

 

   Our fees are based on the amount of work necessary, the complexity of the items and the required research to complete a fully comprehensive report, or for a contracted amount based on an estimate of the time involved. We are more than happy to provide an estimate at the time you set up your appraisal appointment. For your peace of mind, all fees will be firmly established at your appointment before the appraisal is performed. 

 

 

Insurance Appraisals 

Plain items of gold (no gemstones)  $85

Diamond engagement rings $125 

Diamond engagement ring and matching diamond wedding band $185/set

Diamond and colored stone rings, necklaces, bracelets  (up to 2.99 carats total)  $125

Diamond and colored stone rings, necklaces, bracelets (from 3 to 3.99 carats total)  $185

Diamond and colored stone rings, necklaces, bracelets above 4 carats... $85 per carat

Modern watches $125

Antique jewelry and watches start at $125

Consultation Services   This service is particularly valuable for those who inherent a lot of jewelry and don't know if it's real or costume. During the appointment we will separate the real from the costume jewelry, so that will know which pieces are valuable. We will also counsel you on which significant items would value greatly with a detailed appraisal report. The fee for this service is $250 per hour. Should you decide to have the significant items appraised during this appointment, we will do so at a discounted price per item. Please call for more details.

Resale or Liquidation Appraisals start at $125 per item.

Estate or Probate Appraisals start at $125 per item.

Charitable Contribution Appraisals start at $125 per item.

Equitable Distribution Appraisals start at $125 per item.

Divorce Appraisals start at $125 per item.

Concierge Service (travel to your home, office, bank or attorney's office) are based on $200 per hour with a minimum charge of 2 hours, plus portal-to-portal travel time which is billed at $125 per hour with a minimum travel charge of 1 hour.
